Noah Conopask has had a unique directorial evolution. His career has taken him from making album covers and web sites (helping pioneer the integration of video online) to animation, ideation and photography - all the while on a trajectory focused on directing potent live action film. He has story, humanity, and a sophisticated photographic sense, drawing upon directorial realism and a multidisciplinary background of experience to create distinctly designed films that have a bold graphic finish. Noah exploits every possible angle, every lighting scenario and every emotion to create a rich atmosphere that he can call his own. He creates cinematic and striking films that are fantastic, non gimmicky stories about people. The elegance of his work comes through in evocative visual storytelling that has emotional impact.
Noah was behind the lens at an early age, telling unique story’s through his photography. Noah's loves of skateboarding, street art and technology based media led him to typography and graphic design, and eventually into film through a number of diverse art and design projects. Seeking better opportunities, he moved to Los Angeles and worked at DNA Studio, a premier interactive firm. There he worked on various high profile interactive video projects for corporate and movie industry clients. Wanting to shift his focus onto more narrative and cinematic work, he began focusing on his true love of film. He soon moved to Chicago where he worked for Digital Kitchen, the most Emmy nominated studio of its kind. There he designed and directed various projects, including both commercials and main title sequences, most notably is "The Company" for which he earned an Emmy nomination. Noah then moved on to New York City where he worked as a director with another Emmy Award-winning creative production company - Shilo. Noah is currently represented by Rabbit Content and partners with a number of visionary collaborators. Noah has directed and designed powerful work across commercial and non-commercial threads of the visual arts. His clients include Under Armour, Target, Lincoln, General Motors, Olay, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sports Authority, 2k Sports and Verizon.
His work has been featured and recognized by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, BDA, Stash Magazine, The FADER, Graphis, Res, Boards Magazine, Smile Faucet, Best Ads on TV, Shoot Online, Communication Arts, Screen Magazine, Psst, The Queens International Film Festival, The London Independent Film Festival & The San Francisco International Festival of Short Films.
