    Hi Barbara,

    Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

    The animation and dance were developed simultaneously. We started by taking overhead stills of the dancers in different positions (what we termed as road kill positions). These shapes were fed into the engine that James and Amit developed. This all existed on a time line. As a choreographer I was then able to shift the road kill positions in time and space. These became the anchor points that the animation and live performers would seek out as the piece unfolded. All the animation between the anchors happened in real time which means that each performance was unique.
