I started making films on my Dads Super 8 camera, I was influenced by his holiday films and specifically when he played them backwards!
I experimented with video cameras as soon as I could, and ended up studying Videographics at Portsmouth College of Art, before moving on to Portsmouth University Fine Art Film Dept.
I have always been into timelapse, and Lo Fi. I love reading about experimental film and video, techniques, concepts and practitioners, but frankly, I find it a bit dull to watch. Im too much the MTV generation to put up with much more than 6 minutes.
I loved the Super 8 reel, and now with file size and bandwidth an issue, short artsy files are really cool. Its good to have restrictions.
