From a rich background of experience in Event Management and Media Production Sazz graduated from St Mary's University, Twickenham, with a degree in Media/Film/TV. She attended Italia Conte, Royal Academy of Dance and BAC.
Sazz has been involved in the dance and beauty industry for over 20 years; she herself graced many of the reputable black publications. She was also a member of the Mystique Dance group, who toured Europe and performed in many West End venues, such as Cafe Royal and Hippodrome.
Having a wealth of experience since the 70s in event management, Sazz staged many community beauty pageants that launched the careers for many black models. She was responsible for the grooming and development of the first black winner of the prestigious Miss UK Beauty Pageant (Melanie Abdoun 1994, who was the first women of colour to wear the crown for Britain and went on to represent the United Kingdom at the Miss World contest 1995.
Sazz was instrumental in the making of history; she founded the first ever award ceremony to acknowledge the contributions made by professional young actors within the United Kingdom, those that professionally perform in the genres:-'TV, TV/DRAMA, THEATRE PLAY, WEST END THEATRE, COMMERCIAL, DANCE, VOCAL, MUSICIAN in the entertainment industry ‘ACEA'. (Annual Children's Entertainment Awards). launched in 2003, and also YEA! (Young Entertainers Awards), this award is presented to the children who perform in community theatres who do this more for hobby rather than profession.
Sazz mentors young people in the area of self development.
she says "We as adults should be willing to listen to the voices of our young people, although young, many are quite aware of their aspirations at a young age".
The objectives for the ACEA Awards is to have an long term annual award that will become a standard that all young professional performers will aspire to be involved with and gain recognition through - presented by young people - that will say THANK YOU!
