Graduated of the Fine arts’ higher school of Aix-en-Provence in 2004, Adelin Schweitzer lives and works in Marseille.
His work questions the spectator on his place in the contemporary
technological world while adopting, in general, a rather anecdotic point of view; the point of view of a generation which grew with the explosion of data processing, the video games and the communication systems.
He uses in turn electronics, mechanics, and data processing to create installations and objects of anticipation, which take the shape of idiomatic machines to the sometimes worrying functions.
From Tinguely to Stelarc, from Peckinpah to D.Lynch, from Huxley to P.K Dick this artist develops a singular universe where reality verging on the artificial and where image becomes recyclable.
