Just a crazy filmmaker trying to make it in this crazy filmmaker world.
I'm inspired by pretty much anything, I can find the art in the simplest things. I prefer comedy, but appreciate all genres.
I started off as a writer, I've written and finished many screenplays along with many half written ones as well, you can understand. And it wasn't until I lost the love of my life ( how frikin cliche right?), (yeah stereotypical actress moved to LA syndrome, haha) but the last thing she ever gave me was the autobiography on Robert Rodriguez. I wasn't gonna read it but I'm glad I did. Because it wasn't until my life couldn't get any lower and I was sleeping in my jeep on the streets of LA, when I saw the book just laying there. So I decided to pick it up and read it. Not being the biggest fan of Robert Rodriguez, I was a little reluctant. And then his story changed my life. Rodriguez was an ordinary guy trying to make it in the business himself. He had gone through all the struggles and the strife, the pain the sorrow. He didn't have the glam, the money, he did his shit himself, and my new respect for the man was formed. But what really changed me was when I read a certain passage from the book, it stated something like this. "You can be the most imaginative, creative person in the world. (writer) But if you never learn to be technical, you'll never be a great filmmaker". I can't for the life of me remember the exact words verbatim, as some assbag stole my book, but it didn't matter. The words have stuck with me forever and spawned my very filmmaker existence.
Camera's and Editing are my new thing. As I still love to write and create, I spend most of my time working on shots and unique editing styles, gotta love my magic bullet right?
I love Vimeo, thank god for a community devoted to filmmakers.
Everything I see on here is so, for lack of a better word, amazing. The talent out there nowadays is sickly wicked awesome, I would love to work with so many of you, and as I am totally devoted to doing this for the rest of my life, we could make some sick stuff.
I love to travel, see the world, I'm 27 years old, but feel like a newborn ready to open it's eyes and experience it all (Film wise. haha)
