When designing I seek to strike the perfect balance between form and function as well as materials and manufacturing methods. It was during my childhood years in Cote d'Ivoire and summers in coastal Maine, that I fell in love with the functional beauty of working tools and wooden boats. I received a Sculpture degree from Oberlin College in 2001 and graduated from the masters program in Industrial Design at RISD in 2009. When not designing objects and buildings, I can usually be found building or playing in boats. I currently live with my wife in Los Angeles, California.
