In Araucanian, (Andean Natives) ayelén means the moment when two people share a smile. Born in Toronto to Chilean political refugees, I am nomadic by nature. I was brought up speaking Spanish at home, French in school, English on the streets and Dance wherever I could; Elora, San Miguel de Allende, Havana, Toronto, New York, and Barcelona. Movement is my first language and through it I have come to find my way and my self in this world.
