NO VISION STOCKS USED...
i used the old discontinued kodak surveillance film, this was 5293 200asa.
this was the generation of film that was made before vision stocks.
what is funny is kodak would say that 93 was old technology and poor compared to vision 2 200asa.
i have not seen or shot anything better than this old film. -
7 days agoalan doyle commented on Vanamorphicthat's quite funny and quite sad.
i am in financial hell and have not got anything to use it on yet.
been selling a load of stuff and will probably buy the panasonic gh1 or even the olympus ep1.
the main reason for the ep1 is i have seen lots of pretty boring work,i cannot believe it is all the cameras fault...
i had 3 iscos and now down to my last one which is the keeper a super sharp 36. -
12 days agoalan doyle commented on Vanamorphicquote. This is a very expensive, cumbersome quality-reduction lens.
stu. since you do not rate the lens,i will give you 200 dollars. pm please.
the isco is by far the best lens of it's type and i have seen some fantastic clips.it is a quality bit of sharp glass.
i believe these are the clips that got everyone in the 5d world hot for it.

12 year out of date agfa movie film in rusty film cans.16fps.
some of it was not usable because of light leaks.
mainly in camera edit...tweaked in fcp. -
2 months agoalan doyle commented on Kowa 8Z / 16H test on Canon 5D Mk II @ 50mmreally nice job...
what you can see is this is a good bit of glass.
maybe because this is a 2x scope a 60mm or 80mm camera lens would be best for the canon 5d,it would help with the distortion and Vignetting..
the kowa was a good optic in it's day only bested by iscorama, which makes sense cos the isco was 500 pounds more.
in the old days of super 8 and 16mm the kowa was the best quality optic, that was just about affordable.
the iscoramas were not an option to most people because of price.
