Francesca Cinalli started her studies in 1987 in classical and contemporary dance until she found herself, through the years, involved in what emerged as her principal concern, that is a way of exploring the body through physical research. In so doing, she has been meeting teachers and artists coming from the dance-theatre area: G.Di Cicco, R.Castello, V.Sieni, G.Rossi, A.Sini, D.Crema, R. Giordano, D.Dudzinsky-Tanztheater Wuppertal (Pina Baush), C.Brie, A.Berti.
In 2006 she graduated at the I.A.T. Gong_Institute(Traditional Arts Institute of Genova), after working with teachers from all over the world Joji Hirota Tamburi Taiko, Koffi Koko Danza Africana, Sonia Amiuwu Travelling Theatre, Tapa Sudana Teatro dei Tre Mondi, Tran Quang Hai Canto overtones vietnamita, Karunkaran Teatro danza Kathakali, Cecile Gordon Danza Kalarippayat, Sangeeta Bandyopadhyay Canto Raga indiano, Al Sheikh Nail Kesova Dervisci Rotanti, Dariush Madani Percussione Zarb, Imma Giannuzzi Canti e danze del Tarantismo, Alfio Antico Tamorra & tamburello.
She has been working with the Italian dance theatre company TECNOLOGIA FILOSOFICA, since 1999 and still doing so at present.
She’s the author and the choreographer of the dance-theatre work “Niji_a prayer” and ‘Canzoni del Secondo Piano’ (selected to Festival Les Hivernales in Avignon 2010, Italian Dance Platform in Festival TorinoDanza 2011, and for the season 2011-2012 of Theater Raymond Kabbaz of Los Angeles (december 2011).
