After nearly half a decade as a touring musician, Los Angeles based rock/fashion/portrait photographer Nathaniel Taylor began the slow transition into the medium of photography. After several years of training in traditional portraiture he began the shift to commercial photography.
"I feel my background in traditional portraiture combined with my experiences in music and fashion give me a unique perspective on how to create fresh, exciting images."
His first early opportunity in commercial work was a cover shoot of the The Used for Substream Music Press, after which he was named Head of West Coast Photography for the magazine. Nathaniel is currently a staff photographer for Shut Up Magazine, Pasadena Magazine, and co-owner of his boutique portrait studio Taylor Fine Portraiture [taylorfineportraiture.com] located in Pasadena, California.
"I love the process of creating a photograph. To conceptualize and follow through with the creation of the image is a powerful process for me."
