Montreal-based Park Avenue is the start of something different. Their story has no real beginning, but evolves through time like a rock being worn away by the rain or the decomposing of a lion’s carcass, left in the stark darkness, in the depth of a cavern. It’s not easy to pigeon-hole P.A. into a certain genre of music. Their sound blends heavenly hymns, flashing shards of glass, doors opening and closing violently, water running down muddy rain gutters, piercing gazes from faceless humans, the screams of desperate existence, trying to find meaning, giant carillon bells ringing in the distance, echoing and being lost in silence.
