16 hours agobob lorrimer commented on Slash-In-The-BoxWell...this film IS brilliant! To achieve such a level of horror, and complexity of plot, within 4 minutes is seriously good going.
The cast are great ... and good looking ... the photography and the edit bang on the button.
Now if you don't mind I must wipe my coffee off the ceiling. -

1 day agobob lorrimer commented on Thorsten's Lucky WomanWow...Julien... you have worked hard for this film.
Some are going to love it and others might be driven wild by its episodic nature! For me it is a shade too long and confused......clarity helps the viewer to remain engaged.
You have an 'art house' style which also will divide opinion amongst the audience. I think tightening the edit, especially for the internet, would be helpful....and the audio needs some work too.....
but the most important aspect of this film is that you went out there, you wrote it and you filmed it - well done! -

I started Digital filming 6 years ago. I was a 16mm enthusiast in my early twenties but it all became too expensive for me at the time.
I am truly thrilled at the quality of imagery and cinematic results that can now be achieved with relatively modest equipment and computers.
I am trying to make my HD films shorter, faster and with more impact to suit the short attention span of the modern browser.
My Cameras are a CANON 7d, and a Panasonic Gh2.
There have been astonishing changes within the world of film-making and all in the last few years. HD DSLR technology, GLIDETRACK, CRANES, MAGIC BULLET LOOKS, and VIMEO.
Bring on the film makers.
