Jim Trelease is the author of The Read-Aloud Handbook (Penguin). There have been six American editions, as well as those published in Britain, Australia, Japan, China, Colombia, Korea, and Indonesia. One of America's most sought-after education speakers, he retired from public programs in 2008 after 25 years. Today he maintains his Web site on children's books and reading issues.
