1 month agojoytek commented on 2011 Nov 30th radioactive rainout in South Korea 16 microSv/hrAny amount of radiation is considered potentially unsafe. I used gloves to collect the sample to make sure that I did not directly expose my skin to whatever was present in the rain, and after doing the test, stored the sample on the balcony where its radiation no longer could directly affect me.

1 month agojoytek commented on 2012 Jan 2nd, South Korea, Seaweed radioactivity test (part 1)When you get irradiated from the inside (by way of ingesting radioactive food) it will do a lot of local damage wherever the radiation will accumulate (which organ) over what could be years until (if at all) your body manages to cleanse itself. In the meantime your immune system will be weakened and this may lead to all sorts of secondary infections and medical conditions.
