I am a multimedia reporter with a focus on law enforcement and public safety for The American Press in Lake Charles, La. I joined The American Press in late October 2007. Along with covering public safety, I have sought out multimedia training throughout the United States.
With the online training I have received at these workshops, I have taught our two photographers to make photo slideshows with audio. I have also taught two fellow reporters how to shoot video and edit it using Final Cut Express.
We, along with a webmaster, manage the Wordpress web blogs used on the newspaper web site.
Before coming to The American Press, I was a freelance journalist and part-time mass communication graduate student.
