Vidiot

We would like to introduce the ongoing art project that is inspired by Cyrill Preobrazhensky and run by the group of students from Moscow’s School of Photography and Multimedia, called VIDIOT.
The project can be described as open space aimed to representing works by young artists in video and media techniques.
Our aim is to establish the open virtual space that allows for a wider distribution of ideas and works by young artists, mainly students of Rodchenko Art School.
One of the unique characteristic of the magazine, is that most of published works were created specially for VIDIOT and were not shown before.
Finally, it is an open project that is created by artists, run and managed by artists and hopefully will help to integrate young Russian video artits into an international art scene.


Журнал VIDIOT Журнал VIDIOT создан по инициативе Кирилла Преображенского и студентов Школы Фотографии и Мультимедиа им. Родченко. Несмотря на аналоги в истории видеоарта, эта форма репрезентации цифрового искусства почти не известна в России. Журнал является частью масштабной работы по расширению художественного пространства для представления и поддержки молодых авторов, работающих с новыми технологиями в искусстве. Большинство работ созданы специально для VIDIOT и никогда ранее не демонстрировались.
