But if you need a professional site with top notch quality, I believe Vimeo's Plus is at a very reasonable price. I agree with some here that the net has spoiled us with getting everything for free. For lower-end quality, that should indeed be the case. But when it comes to hi-end sites, they have to find the money somewhere. Often, we tend to think that advertising makes these sites rich. Truth is, it is extremely difficult to get decent money from advertisers. One of the reasons is the sheer amount of crap we're begged to click on. We're far from the '90's when nerds became millionaires in a week. Advertisers have come to realize that the net is a not so obvious win. Hence, a need to make enough profit to at least pay for the high price of space on the net. Vimeo is doing the right thing -- and I don't think they had this in mind when they first started. Still, you get what you pay for.

I have rarely seen such true concern in answering questions, or dealing with unhappy customers (if you can call a customer someone who uses Vimeo for free!). To me, Vimeo is a class act. The cleanest interface of them all. ;0)

THis said, in the near future, I'm seriously thinking about upgrading to "Plus"; the price is reasonable, especially if Vimeo is you link to HD vids. Kudos to you guys.
