In Awe of Fishnet

Attended the distinguished Miami Vice School of Video Editing, mid-to-late 80s. Courses taken include:
Music Selection 101: Choose brilliant song or audio, silence all other sound.
Intense Edits 205: Classically clean cuts only. [Failing this, drop out, go home, ditch your dreams, etc]
Visually Obvious 320: Beauty, Beauty, Beauty. Perception of Beauty absolutely Rules.
Senior Thesis [Independent Study 499]: Motion, Motion, Motion. The Beauty_of_Motion is Undeniable.
Post-graduate Research: Visuals Meet Words; music begs for motion; impact is born, becomes what you seek to create, in order that other souls may also be impacted in powerful and positive ways.
Addendum: I once saw an editor's brilliantly edited sixty minute montage of his footage taken over fifteen years, set to absolute silence in a Lincoln Center theater: It blew my mind, passing in a flash, but not before I had melted. Beach dunes slowly rifting and sliding, is all I can now remember. That is what I aspire to be able to create. Some day I'll find his name again.
