I began writing at a very early age. In the second grade, I was already writing all sorts of stories- everything ranging from going to the zoo and meeting a friendly alligator, to becoming an enchantress and falling in love.
Writing helped me exercise my imagination, but I wanted more. I felt the increasing need to express myself and release my emotions and thoughts as I grew older.
& then I found inspiration in the wonderful world of cinema.
Making movies lights this indescribable fire in me. Whenever I'm in the midst of a project, no matter how stressful it may be, I'm in complete bliss. I can't imagine a life without a camera in my hand a pen in the other. I want to inspire people, to give them another world where reality doesn't need to exist, where happy endings can occur and where people can overcome their struggles. Whenever I couldn't find any hope or strength to stand up again, I always turned to my favourite films and watched as the heroes and heroines fought for what they believed in. Nothing is more inspiring to me than a film that makes you want to make a stand and change your life.
I know that I am lucky to know exactly what I want to do with my life, and though I'm still learning and my circumstances aren't perfect, I know that I'm going to fight for this dream every day. It's mine, and I'm going to take it.
