Project Spotlight: Understanding Science for Teaching
The Understanding Science for Teaching project at WestEd has a proven track record of strengthening teachers' content knowledge, transforming classroom practices, and boosting student achievement in science. "We bring together scientists, science educators, and literacy experts. The Making Sense of Science courses that we developed for teachers are really the amalgam of all those experts' feedback and input," says Kirsten Daehler, Project Director for Understanding Science for Teaching.
