What is Whoop Dee Doo?!?!?

Whoop Dee Doo, hosted by your awesome friends, Jaimie and Matt, is a kid-friendly faux public access television show featuring pre-planned performances accompanied by live audience participation (Kind of like a radical talent show!!). The show is based in Kansas City, Missouri, but has traveled and worked with many amazing arts organizations all over the country!! Some of the awesome places we have worked with include the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, Nebraska, Deitch Projects in New York, the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, the Smart Museum at the University of Chicago and more!!

Whoop Dee Doo always strives to highlight a diverse array of performers from the community in which is temporarily resides in, and engages audiences of all ages and cultural backgrounds. Beyong just showing off the amazing local talent, a Whoop Dee Doo show will also have tons of skits, games shows, and of course, tons of DANCING!!

Whoop Dee Doo is totally inspired by television shows such as The Carol Burnett Show, Chic-a-go-go, Pee Wee’s Playhouse, Mr. Wizard, The Gong Show, American Bandstand, The Electric Company, Soul Train, Double Dare, Hee Haw, and You Can’t Do that on Television. How could you not be?!?!

Whoop Dee Doo also loves working with kids!! Kids help make our sets and props, and they also are a HUGE part of the live show!!!! Whoop Dee Doo has worked with many youth groups, such as Girls, Incorporated and Big Brother/Big Sister!!
