WMJF-TV is a faculty supervised, student-run fully operational television station. Broadcasting started in 1992 as a low power television (LPTV) station operating on UHF channel 16 in Towson.
In 2012 WMJF-TV converted to Internet broadcasting at wmjf.tv, featuring live events and pre-produced programs. We also shoot shows in the new HDTV Studio in the Media Center, and shoot and stream LIVE video all over Towson University's campus.
WMJF station is managed and operated by students. Students write, produce, star, shoot, edit, direct, and air all of our locally produced television shows. We also have an executive board which handles all the day to day business that goes into running a station. WMJF accepts program proposals from students who would like to produce their own show. Even if you don’t want to create your own show, we have a wide variety of television shows that are already in production.
