X Nitro RC is owned by a very joyful and fun hobby enthusiast, Richard Metcalfe who has been involved in the industry since the tender age of 8.

Richard founded X Nitro RC in may 2009 at the age of just 20, having much loved experience in the model industry he decided after working in a warehouse for 2 and a half years to turn his much loved hobby into a business.

After a choice was given to him to stay on at work for a 10 year contract or to accept redundancy, despite how the current climate was and still is Richard decided to pursue against all odds to go for his dream early 2008. After much hard work grafting for research and marketing and acquiring funds from The Princes Trust X Nitro RC was born 21st may 2009.
