  it was made with a canon eos 350d, taking a series of 15 second exposure with the shutter to trigger every 20 seconds over 5 hours.
  also i used a timer remote chord to trigger the shutter.

  Nope, I just stuck the camera on a tripod and pointed slightly above the horizon. That sir is the natural movement of the earth and everything else beyond. :)
  Though, i'm thinking of buying an equatorial mount at some point.
