Timelapses from a trip through Central Europe in 2014.
Newb'ish mistakes abound in these timelapse segments. Chief amongst them is camera shake. The primary focus was a family vacation. Wherever possible, in whatever little time the itinerary allowed, I tried to setup a timelapse, no tripod, only a gorillapod. So usually the gorillapod had to be attached something that would easily shake. (like wooden floors that bounce around when people walk or wire meshes on top of churches or railings by the river side). So my approach was more like -- try it, take what comes out as a bonus and use if possible :)
The riskiest setup was on top of Stephansdom. The camera was hanging from the gorillapod, attached to a simple wire mesh, about a 137 metres above the ground. :)
