More Than Oneself
Assembled Vine Video Loops with Audio, 4 minutes
Part video and part sound art, More Than Oneself uses assembled Vine loops captured with a front-facing smartphone camera to explore the aesthetics of watching oneself while editing oneself. What kind of interactive performance possibilities are created when one's self is continuously subject to self evaluation? How does temporal truncation through interactive editing change the immediate experience of self? Further, does this software-enabled feedback loop lead to a certain kind of aesthetic experience?
