"Mountains are the beginning and the end of all natural scenery." ~ John Ruskin
My intrepid friend Sarah recently went on her first ever hiking vacation, and the place she picked...why Mount Everest of course! After 24 days traveling, hiking and trekking, she and those she went with came back with over 600 glorious photographs of their trip and many great stories and fond memories. Their adventure included stops in India, Bhutan and of course Nepal.
Sarah and her friends were kind enough to share their photographs from the trip with me so that I could edit together something for them as a celebration of their (possibly) once-in-a-life-time excursion. It was a challenging editing proposition to have to primarily use still photographs, however when I happened upon the wonderful time-lapse work of Amit Haware and Wisnu Widjaja from their respective trips to the region things began to take shape. Hopefully this montage combining photography stills and time-lapse footage does justice to the majesty of the places they saw and the people they met on their travels.
Thank you very much for watching!
