Take a trip back in time to 2009. You're looking at a very young (and orange) Lazwah - aka me - running around a fancy establishment known to many as one of Melbourne's finest hotspots - 'Baroq House'. It was at this venue, that myself - alongside two of my best mates - ran a Friday night for over 6 years.
One year, we decided we would each have a theme party for our birthday, and mine was first. I chose Hip Hop, and so we decided to have some fun with it. What you see here, is the work of three idiots who decided to 'rap' the best way we could, and make our own version of Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby" - but with lyrics all about the star of the evening - me.
This clip then made its way on to 100 hand-pressed DVDs and was sent out to Melbourne's biggest party elite and VIPs.
The result was one of the biggest crowds the venue has ever seen, and it went on to become one of the most anticipated party events in the Melbourne night scene (no seriously, I'm not just saying that) - and was held for 5 years straight before I finally hung up my MC boots and gave it a rest.
This is the first of three film clips that were created over those 5 years.
