Ski trip up to Argentine peak for some June skiing. Skied the steep east face of the peak. The snow was good and soft with only a few large runnels. Argentine peak sits at 13,743' (4189m) on the continental divide near Guanella Pass with good views of the 14ers Bierstadt, Evans, Grays and Torreys as it sits about halfway between the four 14ers. The approach is fairly straight forward if somewhat strenuous. Hike the Silver Dollar Lake trail until you reach Silver Dollar Lake. Then hike the path of least resistance until you reach the continental divide, and hike the continental divide trail until you get to Argentine peak. The egress requires a short hike up a small ridge to return to the original drainage.
