April 5, 2014 saw a historic, citizen-driven Albino ~ Non-Albino Reconciliation in Bouake, northern Cote d'Ivoire. Women, men, and youth with albinism regularly experience painful social rejection and physical harm, in additon to their distressing medical and learning challenges. At this landmark moment, diverse citizens gathered for a day of face-to-face engagement, healing, and community building conceived and facilitated by a core team of citizens of the the Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) NGO United for Peace Against Conflict International (UFPACI) -- described at ufpacidialogue.net -- in cooperation with the Jewish-Palestinian Living Room Dialogue in California, USA. More about the UFPACI reconciliation initiatives is on the Web at traubman.igc.org/vidnigeriaivorycoast.htm
