Ulrich Salon Circle & The Ulrich Museum of Art present:
DAN BYERS, Richard Armstrong Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, Co-Curator 2013 Carnegie International, Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh
One of three curators for the much-anticipated Carnegie International, Dan Byers captivated all with his first-hand accounts of the international globe-trotting required to produce the world's second-oldest running major contemporary art exhibition. Presented every three to five years, the Carnegie International brings innovative and provocative art and art projects from artists throughout the world for a six-month presentation in Pittsburgh. As the first endowed curator at the Carnegie and co-curator of the International, Byers is our kind of rock star.
Ulrich Salon Circle patrons take part in the Ulrich Salon, a series of exclusive gatherings across each year. Characterized by fascinating presentations on art and visual culture, lively conversations with museum leaders and exhibiting artists, important socializing with like-minded Wichita art patrons, the evening gatherings are a "salon" in the best sense-a special serious kind of fun.
