This short video compiles footage taken here and there in Melbourne over the Australian autumn 2014, showing the streets and life of this wonderful city. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to record some more place I really wanted to include, and the nighttime footage isn't the best quality.
This is meant as a little tribute to a city that became my second home, and the touch of sadness and nostalgia reflects how I feel now I have left it once again. I found that this song by Jess McAvoy is perfectly consistent with the mood. I heard it for the first time at a gig of hers at the Retreat Hotel in Brunswick as I was about to leave Australia, and I have to admit this might be the first time that a song gave me goosebumps.
