Estilo Gaúcho is the result of 20 years worth of hard work and dreaming. At the age of 14, the youngest of 10 children trades the safety of home in Bom Jesus do Sul, south of Brazil, for the big city to find work and help support his family. With limited education and experience, he is left to do the very thing his grandfather, Vô Afonso, had taught him since birth - churrasco, the Gaúcho style of roasting meats over an open flame.
Quickly climbing the ranks among the finest and most renowned churrascarias in São Paulo, he is invited to help introduce the Brazilian Steakhouse to America. Working over the next decade, helping to establish six different churrascarias across the United States and Brazil, the seventh would prove to be the most special, as it fulfilled the lifelong dream of being his own.
Our passion is to represent this tradition and heritage, which as Brazilians is uniquely our own, and perpetuate the legacy of Gaúchos past, with dedication and grace worthy of our Gaúcho name.
