To mark the end of the Kwibuka genocide remembrance period, The National Holocaust Centre held an event on the 4th july 2014. The event reviewed the work of schools participating in its 100 days programs and also heard about renewal projects in Rwanda. Dr James Smith presented the current Peace initiative of The Aegis Trust. Immaculee, a survivor of the genocide, attended the event as a special guest. She shared her testimony of the trauma experienced in the Genocide and the help she has had since. Her testimony is one of the most harrowing ever shared at the centre. His excellency the Rwandan ambassador gave an inspiring talk about the renewal of Rwanda today.
