At The Makers Nation we believe that play can be a major catalyst for creative in both children and adults alike. We wanted to see what would happen if we placed impromptu 'play stations' in a busy street in major cities around the world.
In San Francisco we drew a large hopscotch on the sidewalk of the Embarcadero. At first it was only kids that were attracted to the game but eventually more and more adults started to take part.
The goal of these mini-creative interventions is to remind people of the importance of play and that creativity and playfulness have no age limit.
About The Makers Nation
The Makers Nation is a global organization that seeks to coalesce the arts, tech, design and maker communities in cities around the world.
Our approach is two-fold. First, we develop tools and resources to make creative communities more accessible to those who may not initially self-identify as a creative-type. Second, we work with those already immersed in their creative silo to build cross-collaboration opportunities that explore the possibilities of making this across disciplines.
