The New Orleans Museum of Art features Keri Pickett's photographs, ancestral photos and grandparent's love letters in an exhibition "Significant Others: Photography and Monogamy" at the New Orleans Museum of Art in New Orleans, Louisiana from February 14-March 30, 1997.
Photographs of my grandparents doing daily tasks and having intimate moments are from the book "Love in the 90s, B.B. and Jo, The Story of a Lifelong Love, A Granddaughter's Portrait by Keri Pickett, (Warner Books 1995).
Date of Slide talk & filming was Sunday May 19, 1997 with Steven Maklansky, New Orleans, LA Photography Curator who says "We met at Fotofest in 1994" and then explains how cool Fotofest is and how it works. He is introduction to me threw in everything but the kitchen sink including awards, even citing The Indigo Girls CD photography on their "Shaming of the Sun" title. Then we read love letters but I don't tape that because I have to read love letters while my pictures scroll on the screen. Wish I had taped it all!
