In July 2014, Christian theatrical rock band "No Longer Music" (NLM) performed 3 concerts in Eastern Ukraine near the conflict between pro-Russian separatists and Ukrainian forces.
Over 5,000 people attended the 3 concerts and hundreds responded to the invitation to receive Jesus
NLM is an evangelistic music and theatrical production group led by David Pierce which, for 30 years, has used the stage to communicate the Gospel of Jesus in night clubs, city squares and festivals, to young people who would never step foot into a church.
The NLM “show” is a dramatic theatrical depiction of the story of Jesus, including a powerful crucifixion and resurrection scene, which is geared toward the secular youth.
No Longer Music (NLM) is called to reach the "secularized global youth culture". All over the world, these 17-35 years olds do not typically go to the Church for answers because they believe it to be irrelevant to their lives—a dead, empty tradition of the past.
They represent one of the largest unreached people groups in the world: over 1 billion souls.
In order to reach them, No Longer Music brings the message of Jesus to where they are at, in their own context, and in a "language" (music, theater and art) that they can understand —as modeled by Christ's example and teaching (see the Parable of the Lost Sheep in Luke 15:1-7 as an example).
