Scotland, UK. The Commonwealth Ceilidh in Nairn on the 21st June 2014. Organized by The Highland-Russia Connection charity. The Ceilidh was one of 65 held on the same day around the world as part of the Year of Homecoming celebrations and also in celebration of the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The film was funded by Celebrate Lottery Fund
I lived just outside of Nairn for many years and was very happy to have been asked to film this!
I have become very aware over the past few years that the videos I have made will outlive me, and those who are in them. So...... theres a good chance that this wee snapshot of an evening in Nairn will be viewed in a few hundred years from now.
Multiculturalism is alive and well in the Scottish Highlands:-)
