A work by Athanasia Kanellopoulou
The choreographic work ''Two - Matters of existence'', is the second part of the trilogy ''A few moments of gaze'' which focuses on the female gaze. A confessional and introspective gaze, which aims to record a very personal and silent human condition.
A dual female figure, two sacred yet perishable forms, end up becoming one person, a ''persona'' but in essence a dual nature with different and separate concerns. Two powerful performers, through the world of dream and fantasy, intertwine and coexist, whispering unintelligible words, in a deeply existential relationship of harmony, complicity, power and imposition.
A poetic transition from the subconscious to the conscious part of existence unfolds and attempts to provide a linear and sometimes more abstract narrative, but also a deeper reflection of desires, impulses and fears based on body memory, dreams and what constitutes the female, human body.
