This video clip is very touching. I had tears while listening to Mr. Zander.
Irrespective of his busy schedules, he was ready to accommodate us for an interview. His rationale - saying "NO" to the interview request may be closing the doors to his own opportunities and the benefits people may get from listening to him.
In this clip, he is sharing a heart breaking story of his father who started a university in a concentration camp! For me it is the epitome of the Art of possibility and unconditional giving .
This is an eye opening message to most of us who help people only looking at how valuable it is or what is in it for me. There are some great minds among us who are ready to help unconditionally. They are the living examples of the concept of "double profiting". Without the help of some such great minds, my documentary would not have been a reality.
"Double profiting" is the core of Hindu philosophy. In double profiting, the giver is the more beneficiary than the receiver. Most of us believe the other way. If we give (even a simple smile, help an unknown person etc). then we loose!
Unfortunately, in modern world, we are hesitant to give unconditionally, and the end result is the missing opportunity to experience the inner joy comes from unconditional giving.
Unless an individual is aware of the universal principle of "Double Profiting" he or she will be living in an illusionary world of "BUSYNESS" and loosing the opportunity to experience the inner joy that comes only from unconditional giving. Hats off to Mr. Ben Zander for his practice of unconditional giving.
Living with the theory of "Double profiting" is one of the main take aways from my interviews with the luminaries.
I wish the viewers of this clip realize the power of double profiting.
