Its hard to see this city and to see the type of reputation that has grown through out the years. I have always experience violence through out my old neighborhood but not to the extreme of what we are hearing trough out the news. I am bless that I no longer live in my old neighborhood and currently live in suburbia but for the last 5 years I had placed walls on the thoughts of what is going on in this urban neighborhoods. Since I haven't been involve in any type of criminal activity it was easy for me not to care about what was going on in my old community. I had forgotten how a summer day in Little Village can turn violent pretty fast, I forgotten that my parents and friends still live their.
I am asking for your help!!!!
This is NOT about being Republican, Democrat or even a Liberal, it’s not about blaming the parents the school system, this is not about being pro-life or pro-choice or about whether you are against homosexuality or the rights to bare arms this is not about Religion. This is beyond our political views or to see who is right or who is wrong . This is about the violence and murders that are happening in our city and yes we can argue that parents, society, circumstances may play a significant role in their behavior but this message is not about placing blame this is about us recognizing were it comes from and doing something about it.
Our city has gone from the Windy city to the Black City and now to Chi-raq. According to statistics their has been over 1,200 shooting victims,200 homicides over 600 sexual assaults 17,000 robberies, burglary, theft, and over 3,000 aggravated assaults in 2014. You may not have been effected by this statistics in a personable level but I can guarantee that someone you know or love has.
Listen I am not asking for you to go out their and be “Batman” but what I am asking is to do a simple thing that takes approximately a few minutes or seconds, something that for the most of us were thought to do when we were a child, we seemed to stop doing allot of what we were thought spiritually or we call upon God only when we seemed to need Him or you may be a non-believer, well ask yourself what can you do to help prevent this vicious cycle, for a long time I proclaimed to be an Atheist I felt that I was the author of my life but soon realize that I couldn't modify behavior for the most part the walk that I walked was the same walk that most of this offenders, perpetrator, criminal, culprit walk so I found myself in need of help. I was able to change my behavior but it took a group of people praying for me to change.
So by now you probably know what I am asking you to do and that is to pray, If we are not out their being Batman the second.... wait let me rephrase that the only thing that can make a difference to our city is our prayers to God. The violence has spiral out of control, we are losing our neighborhoods its time to put our faith back into the hands of our Lord . Please don't misinterpret what I am saying if you belong to a group or a church that are constantly helping your community to prevent this type of behavior well this message is not for you and for those that live in Cicero, Berwyn, Joliet, Aurora, Romeoville, Bolingbrook, all suburbia pray that your suburb or city will not experience all the violence that Chicago is encountering.
I am asking all of you to share this message and video with all your friends I believe we all have hearts and are tired of hearing or seeing our city fall into the hands of those that causing all of this harm. Its time to take our city back and its going to take God to do it....
Allot of you will not bother to read this or may think that this is not for you but I encourage you to ask yourself next time you see the news, that could of been my parent my siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandparents, friend or love one. Remember that those people that were victims or were affected by the crimes in Chicago were somebodies loved ones to....
1 Timothy 2:1.2, I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. As you make your requests, plead for God's mercy upon them, and give thanks. Pray this way for kings and all others who are in authority, so that we can live in peace and quietness, in godliness and dignity.
