1. Air and pure nitrogen are compared in two labeled infusion bottles:
The bottle with is opened with the opening downwards.
The flame of a burning splint is held inside from below. Burning continues.
Repeating the same procedure with nitrogen. Burning is stopped immediately.
2. Testing pure oxygen in a high ampoule:
The wooden splint is ignited again, the flame is blown out that the tip of the splint only glows.
The glowing splint is dipped into the ampoule with the oxygen gas. The splint starts burning again.
3. Blue and red beads visualize models of the nitrogen and oxygen particles.
The model of a CO2 particle was obtained by welding one black and two red plastic beads.
