Miss Tuvstarr, her beloved and the bald Quasimodo.
Tuvstarr is a forest spirit, a "skogsrå", captured in this house of dreams. The name comes from the Swedish symbolist artist John Bauer. Inspired by Maya Deren, this film tells a simple and adventurous story with a postmodern construction of time and style. With intelligence and humour it shows an ironic and seducing imageplay. Screened in Sweden, France, the U.S., Argentina, Belgium, Denmark, Japan.
It was recorded in the English Railway House in the autumn 1994 by Ami Skånberg Dahlstedt, Laila Östlund and Joel Olsson. It was the trio's debut film. It premiered on Gothenburg Film Festival in 1995 and received an honoray mention at VidéoDanseGrandPrix in Paris, France.
