The protagonist of the film, Redlip (played by the director, writer and producer Ami Skånberg Dahlstedt), seeks for ways to perform with her group Redlip song. After having visited the stressed out lady at the unemployment bureau (Guje Palm), she finally decides to try the entertainment business. Here we follow her three different job meetings with Sven Svensson, Erik Eriksson and Nils Nilsson (played by Christian Fiedler). The audience found these scenes unreal and hilarious, but they were all based on authentic situations, quite common for young female dancers. The film was recorded in 1996.
The film tells, with humour and warmth, in words and in movement, the absurd tale of the dancer. It is a fabulous story about Redlip and her dance group Redlipsong, starting at the unemployment bureau, ending with the honorary mission ”Dancers of the State”. An alternative to the ballerina-myth.
