2014 marks the fifth anniversary of Brighton Fashion Week, and whilst there's still a bit of time before the main shows kick off in October 2014, the Vintage Showcase - an extraordinary cabaret of fashion, music, dance, and theatre - was the perfect opportunity for fashionistas to whet their appetites.

Oh My Honey
Lucid Dolls
Oh My Honey is now in it's 5th year as Brighton's leading 1950's inspired handmade label. Having released 3 wedding dress collections, one couture collection and a vast selection of day dresses, designer Louise O'Mahony is about to launch 10 new bright and eccentric party dresses.
The new collection was premiered in the Spiegeltent Brighton, June 1st as part of Brighton Fashion Weeks Vintage Showcase Party, and it is sure to be a vibrant visual spectacle.
Inspired by the party scenes from Vegas and Miami, and the 1950's of course, Lucid Dolls brings together an eclectic mix of bold block colours and trippy patterns onto classic 50's silhouettes. Collaborating with Twinks Burnett, who has designed a print that will be used on two of the designs, featuring my little pony, Barbie heads and disco balls, Louise has created a collection embracing eccentricity, femininity and bright colours with wiggle dresses, huge tulle skirts and sparkle gem bodices, culminating in the ultimate party dresses.
