We shot this over two days in the middle of the Chinese desert. Actually not a desert but a salt crust over a lake. We weren't confident the crust wouldn't crack and the cars or equipment would sink into the water (some equipment did). I learned something about myself on this shoot: I cannot adapt to high altitudes. We were 13,000 feet in the air and I had a terrible headache for a week that wouldn't go away. I thought I was going to die. My giant head needs all the blood it can get. If you ever want me to shoot in a mountain, I'm out.
