This summer, the Cultural Intelligence team have been celebrating the body in all its miraculous complexity, as we launch the next issue of the Hive Mind Magazine, Body, Flesh and Sensuality: Towards a New Language of Pleasure.
We are celebrating this with an exciting Summer Salon, joining some great minds from the Hive Mind and our fascinating expert contributors in debating how brands can best speak the language of pleasure to connect with the cultural shifts and behaviours that are creating this opportunity space.
We have been working with scientists, academics, historians and an array of sensory visionaries and creatives, to explore this new world of sensory enlightenment. It’s become quite clear, we need a new language around pleasure and the body - one that doesn’t take us into smutty territory nor make us recoil in disgust. And we want to challenge brands to join us in this new world of pleasure.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, the Hive Mind Magazine is a product from Cultural Intelligence at Flamingo to showcase the richness of our 100-strong panel of experts which we call The Hive Mind.
Our contributers have been handpicked from our 100-strong panel of experts we call the Hive Mind. To name but a few: The culinary deviant and architectural foodsmith, Sam Bompass, founder of Bompass and Parr. Mental Health guru Andy Gobson, founder of Mind Apples, and Historian Fay Bound Alberti, author of Matters of the Heart: history, medicine and emotion, and founding member of the Centre for the History of the Emotions at Queen Mary University.
We regularly tap the communal intelligence of these exciting and inspirational people to add value and brand building ideas for our clients. This is our way of celebrating their talents, we hope you enjoy the read.
