We need to change to adapt to the world that has already changed around us. It’s not a questions of, “Well, let’s have a think about this and make a decision in five years.” It’s already there.
And it’s not just a new market, it’s a new kind of market. Our thinking in our business world has become restricted and narrow and stuck in a rutt.
Do we even realize the world has changed? Because if we don’t, how can we expect our businesses to thrive or even just to survive?
Our choice is to allow our economic development to shrink into a smaller and smaller space, or to find somehow how we fit into this bigger model. We can’t compete with it because of the shear volume; but we can learn to thrive within it if we will adapt our way of thinking.
