Visit Cameratown for a full listing of new features found in the new 2.0.3 firmware update.
In this video I test the new manual audio feature of the updated firmware for the Canon EOS 5D Mark II. In this test I compare the audio quality using an Audio-Technica ATM410 voice microphone with AGC ON and again with Manual Audio. I then run the same test using the built-in microphone with AGC on vs. manual.
I end the video in a rather strange fashion since I didn't realize during the clip that I was done testing. If it matters here is what I would have said.
"The video has hopefully allowed you to hear the audio quality differences between using the AGC (Automatic Gain Control) of the camera vs. using manual controls. I also recorded the video using the new 23.97 frame rate. It was recorded at 1080p and rendered out at 720 / 24p. This is Ron Risman and thank you for taking the time to watch."
